Mover terms

These terms apply to movers — anyone using the Jeneum mover app to find and work moving jobs. They sit alongside thegeneral Terms of Service and thePrivacy Policy.

Who you work for

Each job you take is offered by an independent moving company. That company sets the pay, the schedule, and how the work is done. Jeneum is the software that connects you to it.

Jeneum's position is that you are not an employee of Jeneum. Whether you are an employee or an independent contractor of the moving company whose job you accept is determined by the law where you work and by your relationship with that company — not by this document.

Getting approved to work

You must be 18 or older. Because of the physical nature of the work, you must be at least 18 years old to take jobs through Jeneum. By accepting these terms you confirm that you are 18 or older.

You'll be asked for a photo ID. Before you can be put on a job, a Jeneum reviewer checks one of these documents, showing your date of birth, to confirm who you are and that you are 18 or older: a driver's license, a state ID card, a passport from any country, a U.S. passport card, or a U.S. military ID. We can't accept a student ID or any other document. We look at it and then delete it. The image is removed as soon as the review is decided, whether you are approved or not. If no one has reviewed it within 7 days, it is deleted anyway and we will ask you to upload it again. We do not keep the image, your date of birth, or your document number. What we keep is that someone checked, who checked, and when.

Before you can be put on a job, your W-9 must be on file — it is collected during payout setup with Stripe, our payments provider.

This requirement is enforced by the platform on every route onto a job, including when a company's manager tries to assign you directly. No operator can waive it for you.

Background checks are not currently required. Jeneum plans to introduce mover background screening in a later phase. If it does: Jeneum will pay for your check (nothing advanced to you, nothing deducted from your pay), these terms will be updated and published at a new version first, and movers already working will get a grace window to complete their check before it becomes required to keep taking jobs.

Job offers

On the job

You mark the job started and completed in the app. Those marks are what the company and the customer see, so keep them honest.

Collecting payment

When a job is complete, the app produces a QR code and link for the customer to pay. Three rules, and they are not negotiable:

The money goes to the moving company, which is the merchant of record. You are not handling the customer's funds.

Getting paid

Pay for a job is set by the moving company that hires you and shown in the offer before you accept it. Jeneum pays you through Stripe, our payments provider, after the job is complete. You set up your payout account with Stripe during onboarding.

Suspension

Jeneum may suspend a mover account — for a safety or conduct problem, or a breach of these terms. A suspension takes effect immediately: the app locks to a single screen and the only action available is signing out. It is not a temporary inconvenience you can work around by staying signed in.

If you believe a suspension is a mistake, emailhello@jeneum.com.

What we keep about you

Your name, phone number, the home area and travel radius you set, your account status, your rating, and your job history. Your profile isglobal, not owned by any one company: it follows you across every company you work for on the platform, which is what lets you onboard once. We also keep a record of each version of these terms you accepted, the name you typed to accept it, and when. Full detail is in thePrivacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this address and is listed on the legal documents index. Material changes are announced to account holders.
