SMS consent
This page is the public record of how moving companies on the Jeneum platform — and Jeneum itself — ask for consent to send text messages. It is written for anyone who received a text — and for the carrier reviewers who need to see the opt-in before a number can send.
What the messages are
Jeneum is software for local moving companies. Texts on this program are transactional service messages, not marketing and not advertising:
- Customers — the moving company you booked with ({Company}) sends service messages on the Jeneum platform about a move you booked or asked about — booking confirmations, scheduling reminders, crew on the way with estimated arrival time, follow-ups about a quote they started booking, and replies when they text the company a question.
- Workforce and crew — the moving company you work with ({Company}) sends shift, dispatch, and job-coordination messages on the Jeneum platform to its employees and registered movers who have agreed to receive work assignments. (Platform-level account and onboarding notifications for independent movers are sent by Jeneum.)
- Jeneum operations staff — Jeneum's own employees and contractors on the technical-operations on-call rotation — receive automated system alerts about the platform itself. This is an internal program; the public is never messaged under it.
Who sends them. The moving company you booked with or work with ({Company}) is the sender for customer and workforce messages, sending from that company's registered local number on the Jeneum platform. Jeneum (jeneum.com) provides the underlying software platform; Jeneum sends only platform account setup texts to independent movers and internal system alerts to its own operations staff from a Jeneum number. Providing a number to one moving company does not enroll you with another.
How often. Message frequency varies with activity — typically a handful of messages around a job or a booking, not a daily newsletter. We do not send promotional blasts.
Message and data rates may apply.
How you opt in
Consent is collected separately from creating an account and from signing the moving agreement. Providing a phone number alone is not consent. The checkbox is the yes, and it is never pre-checked — every consent box below starts unchecked. The customer checkbox is optional: booking proceeds whether or not it is ticked. Unticked means that booking is never texted.
Workforce and movers — at onboarding
Before an account is created or work assignments begin, the mover checks this box (wording as shown in the app):
"I agree to receive account and work texts from Jeneum. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply START to opt back in."
The mover app has no public web sign-up page — the profile step sits behind the mover's own login — so the opt-in screen is reproduced here for carrier reviewers. The box starts unchecked, and the profile cannot be saved without it:

Customers — at booking on a moving company's storefront
On the contact step of the booking form, where the customer enters their phone number, the customer checks this box (wording as shown on the booking form):
"I agree to receive texts from {Company} about this booking. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply START to opt back in. Reply HELP for help."
On the live booking form, {Company} is replaced with that moving company's legal name (the LLC), so the customer sees which entity is asking. The surrounding sentence is platform copy, not a tenant-authored field.
The same consent covers follow-ups about that quote and booking — a customer who checks the box but does not finish booking may still hear from that company about the move they asked about.
Jeneum operations staff — internal enrollment
Staff join the alert program individually, by submitting their mobile number through Jeneum's internal on-call enrollment form and checking this box (wording as shown on the form):
"I agree to receive automated system-alert texts from Jeneum at the number I provided. Message frequency varies with system events. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply START to opt back in."
Consent is documented per person, and staff can opt out at any time by replying STOP or by asking to be removed from the rotation.
By checking the box and providing your mobile number, you agree to receive the transactional texts described above from the sender named on that form.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply STARTto opt back in. An opt-out takes effect immediately and applies to the number you replied to: STOP to a moving company's number stops that company's messages; STOP to a Jeneum number stops ours. Opting out of one moving company does not stop another, and START to one never re-subscribes you anywhere else.
Help
Reply HELP for help — the carrier answers with a standard reminder on how to unsubscribe. We do not send a branded company reply to HELP. For questions about this program, email hello@jeneum.com.
